day 8
this is the day to return to guwahati. we stop at the end of the day at bomdila and proceed tomorrow to guwahati.
stop at jaswantgarh for breakfast. the army also stops here for their refreshments.

next day morning we go up to rr hill a short distance from bomdila for the views and then head back to guwahati
there is a memorial on top of rr hill for the battle that took place here in bomdila during the indo china war

after reaching rupa we took the wrong road to guwahati. we ended up in this place called chilipam where they have built this amazing monastery in the most picturesque location
then after crossing some very narrow roads we maanged to find our way back to main highway.
the last winding turns before getting down the ghats from arunachal
a small detour after entering assam brings you to the bhutan border. we are allowed to go upto 500 metres into bhutan.

lunch at the only hotel in bhutan in the allowed distance. this is the only place in the whole world i think who serve fried rice with dal and subzi.
